A small-town scandal. A buried secret. And one woman determined to uncover both.
Miss Tony Cooper has spent years keeping the school district running smoothly-until everything begins to unravel. When missing funds trigger a quiet fraud investigation, Tony expects long hours and paperwork-not whispers, suspicion, and a growing sense that something isn’t quite right.
But when a principal is found dead and the superintendent is taken into custody, the situation turns far more serious than anyone in Apple Creek wants to admit.
As rumors swirl and the press circle ever closer, Miss Tony refuses to let the truth be lost beneath gossip and half-told stories-especially when someone close to her may be caught in the middle.
With only her instincts-and a very perceptive duck-Tony begins to piece together what others have overlooked. Because in a town like Apple Creek, secrets don’t stay hidden forever. And someone is counting on that.
Bells, Binders, and Bodies is the delightful first book in the Apple Creek School District Mysteries series-a cozy spin-off of the Apple Creek R-Park Department Mysteries.
